Automobile Shipping: A Beginner's Guide
Shipping a car is oftentimes a much better idea than driving it yourself. Automobile shipping
companies free you from the need of driving from California to New York yourself – a great adventure for sure, but a time-consuming and expensive task.

There are multiple companies for shipping a car ...
there are even directories online & any serious
eBay
seller will spend time learning this business
The process of shipping a car
Here's how it works: as soon as you agree upon the details of the contract,
an automobile shipping company's truck appears on your driveway.
You drive your car inside, the truck driver straps it to make sure your
car will stand still during the whole trip, then drives away.
A few days later the truck arrives at its destination and unloads your car. The needs of automobile shipping companies vary somewhat depending
on the exact company policy and the destination. Usually however,
they require some proof of ownership to see and a copy of car keys in
case they would need to move the car independently.
The time needed for shipping an auto
Shipping a car takes some more time than just delivering it from one destination to another. For one, most of the time automobile shipping companies do not ship a single car to any destination. They prefer waiting until they will have at least five of them before they organize a shipment. Fortunately for you, it rarely becomes a problem. However, you have to allow at least three days before your car will appear to its destination.
Important details that matter
One important detail you have to remember about
is the insurance. Sometimes it is included in the price and sometimes
you have to buy it extra. Never ever let your car travel uninsured – if it got wrecked during a car crash or set on fire by an accident you got $0!
Another thing you have to do is to make sure that your automobile shipping company
confirms that it has picked your car in perfect condition. Otherwise you might expect
that any scratches will be called “preexistent”.
